BIG News!!!!!

*******************UPDATE BELOW***************************

So, I told you last week that you would have to wait for more updates on the house because we were working on something else. This week we have big news! We are moving to South Carolina!!!! We went there last week to visit Douglas’ brother. Every time we go, we talk about how much we love it there, how much cheaper it is to live there, etc. Last week, we found a house that we love, and the best part is that it does not need any renovation. No more DIY for us! We are leaving the Cape of Dreams in the dust. Gave our two-weeks notice today, and we are out of here! From now on, you can find us here.Folly Beach, South Carolina

Happy Homemaking!

*******************UPDATE***********************

APRIL FOOLS! Sorry, if I caused undue sorrow or elation over the thought that we would move to South Carolina. I really like it down there in the spring, but I doubt I could withstand a summer. I am a four-seasons girl. Although I do not plan to live in the Cape of Dreams forever, I do not want to leave until we are more “finished.” There is still so much that I want to do. So, we will be here for a while, and I promise to give you more notice if we do decide to move anywhere.

I am a teacher, traveler, artist, writer, homemaker and a whole lot more. In January 2009, I bought the Cape of Dreams. It was the second house that I had ever owned, but it was the first that I bought by myself. I now live in the house with my husband Douglas, our dog Kahlua, and Crème de Menthe, the cat. Because, what life is complete without a little Kahlua and Cream? I love arts and crafts of all kinds, and I refinish furniture as well. We are slowly redoing our entire house. • YOU ARE A NAUGHTY BLOGGER! But this was a good prank. Honestly, the thought of moving to a house that doesn’t need any renovation was sounding good to me! (personally). HA HA! How could you possibly leave your new tile floor? 🙂

        • I am naughty, and to tell the truth, I felt a little bad. Heehee. I could NOT leave my new floor, but I realized after I published the blog that it might be more believable since my last post was titled, “Trying to escape.”

  1. I’m with Stacey … I think you’re putting one over on us! BUT … in case this is true, I spent an hour hoeing weeds in the garden and mulling over whether you’d really bail on the Cape of Dreams like that … and I’d be bummed if you weren’t blogging! Just so you know!
