Ch…ch..ch.changes

Someone asked me recently if anyone has ever visited my house twice and found it exactly the same. The answer to that question would be no. Even Douglas rarely comes home to find things the same every day. I like change.

You might remember that I completely rearranged the second bedroom last fall and took it from looking like this…

…to looking like this.

Now it looks like this.

And this.

And this side of the room is the only one that did not change.

I prefer the bed to be against the far wall so that it is facing the door. In my opinion, bedrooms look better when you see the bed when you walk in. The problem is that the radiator is against that wall; the way that I had the bed meant that there was a foot of unused space behind the head board. In a room this small, we cannot afford to give up a foot, especially since I am now using this dresser in the room instead of the black one.

You might ask why I moved this dresser in here. Well, I have a secret that I have been dying to tell everyone since March, but I did not want to jinx it. We are very close to the big reveal, but in the meantime here is a sneak peak. Can you guess what our secret is?

About

I am a teacher, traveler, artist, writer, homemaker and a whole lot more. In January 2009, I bought the Cape of Dreams. It was the second house that I had ever owned, but it was the first that I bought by myself. I now live in the house with my husband Douglas, our dog Kahlua, and Crème de Menthe, the cat. Because, what life is complete without a little Kahlua and Cream? I love arts and crafts of all kinds, and I refinish furniture as well. We are slowly redoing our entire house. You can read about my projects on my blog www.CapeofDreams.com
