Excitement
This has been an exciting morning. First, I received my class schedule for the school year. Then, I found out that our application for an exchange student has been approved. Menderes will arrive in two short weeks!
In the meantime, I am busy cleaning the house after our successful garage sale this weekend. I will write a post about it as soon as possible.
I am sorry that I do not have more written to share with you today, but I did not have any time to finish a post. I was going to skip posting altogether this morning, but I was too excited not to share the latest news with you.

I am a teacher, traveler, artist, writer, homemaker and a whole lot more. In January 2009, I bought the Cape of Dreams. It was the second house that I had ever owned, but it was the first that I bought by myself. I now live in the house with my husband Douglas, our dog Kahlua, and Crème de Menthe, the cat. Because, what life is complete without a little Kahlua and Cream? I love arts and crafts of all kinds, and I refinish furniture as well. We are slowly redoing our entire house. That’s great news! The husband started school this week too and… we got a puppy!! She’s an 8 week old Lab mix. We rescued her from a shelter and named her Savannah. So much fun!
Congrats on the new pup! Pets add a lot of life to a home for sure. I don’t know what I would do without ours. Oh, yes I do, we would get more!
