Minuscule Progress in the Bathroom

After I cleaned the bedroom last weekend I moved on to the bathroom. I cleaned the whole room, but it seems that I only took a picture of the medicine cabinet. It was a mess after Douglas sanded, and it felt good to clean it. It made me think about when I renovated the cabinet a couple of years ago.

Later that evening Douglas came home, and something started happening in the bathroom. Crème was curious.

She demanded entrance so that she could inspect the work.

Douglas was installing hooks on the door. We finally have somewhere to hang our towels again. Yay! I have to celebrate the small things these days.

I am a teacher, traveler, artist, writer, homemaker and a whole lot more. In January 2009, I bought the Cape of Dreams. It was the second house that I had ever owned, but it was the first that I bought by myself. I now live in the house with my husband Douglas, our dog Kahlua, and Crème de Menthe, the cat. Because, what life is complete without a little Kahlua and Cream? I love arts and crafts of all kinds, and I refinish furniture as well. We are slowly redoing our entire house. 1. Each small step is so important to our overall ease and comfort. Sometimes I don’t feel as though much has been accomplished then I look back and see, wowee, we have progressed. That sanding mess can really get a person down, though, because it’s so insidious. Good job. Jo @ Let’s Face the Music

  2. Hooray! Small progress is progress and progress is always a good thing 🙂 Especially now that it’s Spring! longer days make it easier to get more done, too! i love how the silver hooks look with the black and white.
