Moving My Map

Since I gave Douglas a picture for his birthday that we hung in the living room where the map used to be, we then needed to put the map somewhere else. I thought that it would look better in the guest bedroom, and before I left for Oklahoma we decided exactly where we wanted it.

It is not easy to stand on a bed hanging a map when you have a kitten crawling around your feet. Luckily, no animals were harmed in the making of this post… Douglas avoided injury as well.

Ponche is getting to be almost as good of an inspector as Crème. He just needs to learn to stay away from the feet.

We eyeballed the placement as Douglas held the bar with the level. I then climbed on the bed and hit each screw with a hammer to leave a mark in the wall where he should put the anchors.

I hung the map of the United States that had been over the bed on the other wall. I also got to mark a few more roads from our trips this spring and summer.

About

I am a teacher, traveler, artist, writer, homemaker and a whole lot more. In January 2009, I bought the Cape of Dreams. It was the second house that I had ever owned, but it was the first that I bought by myself. I now live in the house with my husband Douglas, our dog Kahlua, and Crème de Menthe, the cat. Because, what life is complete without a little Kahlua and Cream? I love arts and crafts of all kinds, and I refinish furniture as well. We are slowly redoing our entire house.
