A Gift Vase Cat Approved
Every once in a while I receive a gift that touches me in a special way. It is always nice to know that I am appreciated and that someone was thinking of me. I appreciate every gift that I am given because I know that it is someone’s way of telling me that I matter to him or her.
However, it is especially nice to receive something beautiful that was selected with my tastes in mind. When I was given this vase, I knew that the givers remembered that purple is my favorite color. I would like to think that they saw it and thought of me.
Crème is a little more exacting. She does not just accept a gift and say thank you. Everything that enters our home must be thoroughly inspected, whether is is a gift or not. She feels that we cannot just bring any old thing into our home after all. Only the best is good enough for her.
After her inspection, she pronounced the vase a work of excellent craftsmanship. Have you ever seen such wholehearted approval for a piece of pottery. She literally embraced it from all sides.
I would have been heartbroken had she not deemed this piece worthy of our home. Thankfully, she liked the vase as much as I did, giving it several paws up.
I am sure that it will move around my home, but for now it is on the dining room table. I need to get some flowers to set it off. What flowers do you think would look best in it?
If you have anything that you need inspected let us know. I am sure that Crème would be willing to do consulting work. She only asks that she be paid in catnip and be given a little adoration.

Red poppies would be great! I also think that something yellow would be good.
Red would be great with your living room. I’d add something white for contrast. Of course, you really should ask Crème. It’s a beautiful vase!
Red would be a wonderful way to tie in the colors from the living room. Thanks for the great idea! I love tulips, so red tulips with some baby’s breath. I am sure Crème would approve of that.

Compliments like this are special to me because I have been trying to improve my photography skills. The good thing is that Crème loves to be photographed and is too beautiful to look bad in a picture.

This is so cute! One time I brought home a bath mat and my cat proceeded to pee on it. Not quite the same reaction! LOL
That is too funny. I am glad I did not get that reaction! Cats have such personalities; they will definitely let you know when they do not approve of something.

She inspects most new acquisitions with studied care, but this one received particular attention. Who can explain cat behaviors?
